Frank Buchser

Frank Buchser, born Franz Buchser in 1828, was a Swiss painter whose career extended until his death in 1890. Renowned for his artistic versatility and adventurous nature, he traveled widely across Europe, North Africa, and the United States. Buchser is especially recognized for his portraits of significant American figures from the post-Civil War era.
