Jacques Barraband (1767–1809) was a renowned French illustrator in both zoology and botany, acclaimed for his finely detailed and elegant artwork. He gained particular recognition for his realistic depictions of tropical birds, which reflected not only his artistic skill but also his careful attention to anatomical precision.
