Anton Kolig (1 July 1886 – 17 May 1950) was an Austrian expressionist painter distinguished by his dynamic brushwork and vivid use of color. Born in Neutitschein, a town now located in the Czech Republic, Kolig rose to prominence within the early 20th-century Austrian art scene. He attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, where he drew inspiration from the contemporary artists and artistic currents of his era.
